Unconference at the Computer Petting Zoo

Posted on 15.08.2017

Orchard Square Shopping Centre, Craft Units Upper Level, Sheffield S1 2FB

Saturday 26 August – Drop-in 2pm-6pm – FREE

An informal get-together to share ideas about computers, art, games, play, and emotions. This event is part of the Computer Petting Zoo.

An “unconference” is an event that you can come to speak at, or just to listen and mingle, without having to put together a proposal and get approval from the people who run the event. Unconferences are often super creative, because it gives people a chance to try out ideas that aren’t fully formalised yet, or that would be hard to pitch to a regular conference. Examples include Lost Levels in San Francisco and Gamecamp in London.

The Computer Petting Zoo forms part of Making Ways, a new programme supported by Sheffield Culture Consortium through Arts Council England to showcase, celebrate and develop the exceptional contemporary visual art produced in the city.
