Opportunity! 4 x Visual Artists Residencies at Orchard Square

Making Ways: Orchard Square Residency Programme offers four x four week residencies in a craft unit on the upper level of Orchard Square shopping centre. This is an opportunity for artists, makers, craftsmen/women and designers to explore working in retail environment. There will be opportunities to engage with customers, develop profile, showcase your working practice, exhibit and sell.

This is a pilot scheme and each residency will last four weeks. The scheme will run from August to December. The chosen artist/designer/maker will be granted a craft unit space, a £500 materials budget and a fee of £1500. As part of the residency, the artist must develop and deliver 2 workshops that engage with the public, develop audiences for their work and bring audiences to Orchard Square.

This programme is funded by LAP (London & Associated Properties) and Making Ways, a new programme supported by Sheffield Culture Consortium through Arts Council England to showcase, celebrate and develop the exceptional contemporary visual art produced in the city.
