Making Ways Artist’s Trips Update

Posted on 07.08.2018

Making Ways artists trip aim to support the career progression of Sheffield based visual artists, and offer artists the opportunity to see and be inspired by a wide range of artworks, network with people outside of Sheffield and widen their potential for collaboration.

Artists selected for the Code Art Fair trip in August are: Caroline Twist; David Lucas; Laura Page and Peter Griffiths.

Feedback from the recent artist trip to Liverpool identified how successful the trip was with artists stating:
The itinerary was fantastic and well planned. This was an inspirational visit – saw lots, met new people, visited galleries I had never been to before – More of this!

A packed itinerary. Great networking, great group dynamic. Thought provoking talks and exhibitions. Very good experience; generating ideas, ways of moving forward with practice, and making connections to opportunity.’

Artists attending the Liverpool trip were: Lisa Watts, Yuen Fong Ling; Victoria Lucas and Heliya Badakshan. The trip was led by Jeanine Griffin.

Artists Trips form part of Making Ways, a programme supported by Sheffield Culture Consortium through Arts Council England to showcase, celebrate and develop the exceptional contemporary visual art produced in the city.
