Free Open Forum Event for Visual Artists

Making Ways will host a series of five free Open Forum events between October and March 2018. These events will bring Matt Roberts to Sheffield along with a Commercial Gallery for individual 45 minute 1-2-1 sessions with artists. Sessions will advise on Artists Statements, CVs, websites and funding artists practice. There will also be opportunities to discuss approaching commercial galleries, pricing work and promotion.

November 24 at Kiac – Matt Roberts + Jennie Syson from Syson Gallery. (Fully Booked)
January 26 at Bloc Projects – Matt Roberts + Cathy Lomax, Transition Gallery.
February 26 at Yorkshire Artspace – Matt Roberts + Emma Daker, Craftspace.
March 23 venue TBC – Matt Roberts + Julia Alverez, Bearspace.

Matt Roberts Arts is a dynamic not-for-profit organisation founded in 2006 to create opportunities for artists in new locations and contexts. Matt Roberts Arts offers support to creative practitioners by providing a range of professional development programmes and national and international touring exhibitions.

The Open Forum Events form part of Making Ways, a new programme supported by Sheffield Culture Consortium through Arts Council England to showcase, celebrate and develop the exceptional contemporary visual art produced in the city.
