Conference: The Artist’s Journey – Which way is it now?
Posted on 05.02.2018
Thursday February 22 2018 / Free
10.00 – 4.00 / Pennine Lecture Theatre, Sheffield Hallam University, Howard Building Howard Street, S1 1WB.
4.00 – 6.30pm / Yorkshire Artspace 21 Brown St, Sheffield S1 2BS – for drinks and conversations and a chance to see Catherine Dee’s exhibition ‘Parliament of Trees’
Being an artist can take you places that you never thought possible, the paths are unclear and the maps complicated. Please join us on a trip that treads the routes that artists take, goes back to places we have all been before, and shares the picnics along the way to help us plan the next excursions.
The day will open with a talk by Tim Etchells and end with a performance lecture by Chris Dobrowolski. It will feature contributions and discussions ranging from early career to established artists with local, regional, national and international recognition. This will be followed by drinks, snacks and music (some of our favorite driving compilations) to continue conversations at Yorkshire Artspace.
