Meet at the Graves Art Gallery.
Taking place approximately every two months during 2018, Art Walks | Sheffield will offer unique, individually curated perspectives on the many different visual arts practices throughout the city. They will based around journeys that will take us from from design to digital, 2-d to 3-d, conceptual to skills-based contemporary art and will explore a host of maker practices within the city.
Each guided walk will be led by one of Sheffield’s leading artists or makers and will follow a theme, or themes set by your guide.
The first walk will be led by Paul Evans, a multi-portfolio practitioner based at Persistence Works, Yorkshire Artspace, Sheffield. Meeting at The Graves Art Gallery, the walk with take in Dan Holdsworth: Mapping the Limits of Space at Graves Gallery; Here I am: Conroy/Sanderson at The Millennium Gallery and Parliament of Trees: Catherine Dee at Yorkshire Artspace Persistence Works.
Art Walks is part of Making Ways, a new programme supported by Sheffield Culture Consortium through Arts Council England to showcase, celebrate and develop the exceptional contemporary visual art produced in the city.
