Phoebe Cummings has kindly agreed to give three 121 sessions with Sheffield based artists for Making Ways, whilst she is in Sheffield for the Stars on Starting Out Programme.

Phoebe will be visiting Sheffield as part of the ‘Stars on Starting Out’ Series  of Artists Talks which are developed and delivered by Sheffield Hallam University and Yorkshire Artspace. Details of the event are below:

Phoebe studied Three-Dimensional Crafts at the University of Brighton, before completing an MA in Ceramics & Glass at the Royal College of Art in 2005. She was the winner of the British Ceramics Biennial Award in 2011 and was the inaugural winner of the Woman’s Hour Craft Prize 2017.

Phoebe will be joined by Penny Withers, a ceramic artist based here at Yorkshire Artspace. Penny has a degree in Fine Art from West Surrey College of Art in Farnham and curated the Sheffield Ceramics exhibition – Shaping the Earth – at the Millennium Galleries in 2016.
